"handmade pottery and imaginative ceramics for the table"

the art of making ceramic articles.

Ramen Bowls

Hand thrown during a course at the Historic Pewabic Pottery in Detroit, Michigan. This set of Ramen Bowls feature holes for chopstick resting and a unique glazing which is featured on the interior and exterior of the bowl.

glazed fire

An exploration in glazing process; this is one of the first bowls thrown after a hiatus from ceramic arts. The firing process creates a unique burnished edge to the un-glazed portion of the bowl.

Friendsoup

This diptych was created to be auctioned off for Capuchion Soup Kitchen. The theme of the show was friendship. I was inspired by comic book conversational bubbles to create these talking bows. Also influenced by the idea of sharing a meal with friends. The bowls went to auction and the proceeds are now being used to support the Capuchion Soup Kitchen.
